As the cherry turns to ash,
And the sibilance is grasped,
High pitched ****, and throw back,
Meter in full force sound is proof of that,
Featured on the cover of a blast cap.

Stippled and worn, broken and burned,
I traveled so far, I worked so hard,
I lifted the boulder, I tightened the choker,
I traveled so far, I worked so hard.

And here I am, right back where I began,
Like I didn't move an inch and lost the end,
Lightning streaks the rim and leaves again,
Like life, this minute, this sole interim,
Fate, destiny, ********, all of it,
I created this distance, I brought this dissonance.

For what? Just this? pathetic, isn't it?
I can't twiddle away and reminisce, Jesus,
God, Christ, where is my white light, vision?
For crying out loud, I can't scream out,
I'm labled insane, even crazy, funny, don't you think?
I think I'm normal, even plain, funny, it seems.

Dotted when I was born, stings and burns,
I traveled, I traveled far and worked, worked hard,
I lifted this mountain, and cleared the landscape,
I traveled, for what? I worked, for this?
What was the point? When in the end...

It all just ends...

I have to say I feel the same way, if that poem describes the paths you've had to endure in your life, and when you think you got far, you're sent back to before you even started and then it's all over and you must start over and again try to accomplish whatever it is you have to do, and then just as you can feel success, like a flash you're back again to nothing, I really loved the way you expressed that in poetry form, I really can't do that too often, its rare for me to get in a mood to be able to write a descent poem, anyhow I'll shut up now, lol.
