how about some role reversal. would you rather hear "not interested" or "....................."? i don't think anyone prefers being ignored over being told the truth. . . . There's the common decency argument which Drew is saying, but, then there's Monier's very good point as well. You say you're not interested, which quickly follows with "why," and then "what did I do," etc. blah blah. There's got to be some kind of middle ground though. I got that today. Irritating. |

It also might depend on the way the email ended? I know sometimes enough info comes across that there's a feel of not needing to respond, especially if it's chat in general.
I know Lex and I have been discussing his books off and on, and I haven't responded this last time. It's not that I'm ignoring, and certainly hope not to be appearing that way, but his info answered my questions and I didn't see the need to write back at this time. Perhaps I could be wrong? So perception can make things interesting. |

Ok, I get fat nudie pics this morning from a guy on another site. He says "Hi, nice pics" Now, I could have been nice enough to reply with "Why thank you" But, not wanting to encourage him I replied "Morning, not so nice pics" Now, I feel a tad guilty!! Not!!
 What made him think I wanted to see his fat azz first thing this morning to start my day!! Eeeewww!!!

Drew, just send her another email saying good morning or the like & if she doesn't answer. Then she's probably not interested. At least with a greeting she could greet you back if she's interested.

I always do despite the time it takes and I'm always honest!! To me it shows cowardness-- ya know-- like they are intimated ! I even do all the damn nudges every day!!!
