  TEARS AND LOVE FOR YOU AND FOR EVERYONE THERE. Marie,there been so many times now I have felt so bad that I could not give you a real hug,,Your Dad, Your brother and now Russ.. There isn't anything I can do from here except to allow your family to know I care greatly about your sufferings and his life here. I will PRAY and I will ask for GOD to keep you strong for your Daughter and Grandbabies,,,,,,,I know you now have a shoulder to lean on,,and he's there with you..For THAT,,YOU are so BLESSED at this hour of sorrow..GOD HAS HIS REASONS and we can all feel sure we shall see each other again in HIS PLACE,,,hugs and tears. Thank you all so much. I just got home a bit ago. Russ is holding on but barely. Not expected to go much longer.
My daughter is in denial and trying to keep her family together. I know I will be making another trip very soon. Thanks Pat and Terry, I appreciate your support. Queene, a beautiful poem, thank you. His right lung is one huge tumor and the tumors have even invaded his heart. They have given him a few days to go. My daughter is "grasping at straws" and has the doctors putting him on dialysis and starting him on chemo to try to shrink the tumors to see if it helps. His liver is sclerosed (basically gone), his kidneys are still working but the tumors must be blocking his passing urine as he isn't putting any out, so they are trying dialysis to keep him strong enough to try the chemo. I hope it works for her sake, but she is still honoring his DNR request. She is in a hard place, please pray for her to get through this. Thank you. Take care. |

Take care. i dont mean to be rude. but what hes going through. i really dont feel that dialysis is even going to help any for hes ready to go. they need to let him go.. i know how hard it is. but just think if that does work it wont work for very long. im sure the angels have been sitting at his bedside |

Update: He is handling the dialysis and chemo pretty well so far. He is awake and talking, not as confused as he was. His dad and aunt and uncle came in from another state to spend time with him (they hadn't seen him in years) so it was good that he got to see them, maybe achieve some closure if this goes bad quickly.

Help them to accept your heavenly wisdom and plan until it is known to them in your eternal calendar.
