Actually the question is did you send the right form to request a early release from probation. The thing that sucks about the justice system is that it is a bureaucratic nightmare to us laypeople. I believe and don't quote me but I think you need to file a motion to the Judge. Letters don't cut it. There is a specific form for filing such a motion. Legalzoom.com might be able to help with that.

The judge could receive the mail but not be inclined to respond. If you file a motion then the judge has to at least hear you out even if it is on paper.

The justice system is all about filing the right form for everything. Just like the DMV which we all love to hate.

You need to talk to your probation officer. They are the ones who recomend early termination. Like what was said earlier, (depending on your criminal history) if all your fines are paid and everything is in order you have a good chance to get off early. You will also have a better chance if you're on misdemeanor probation opposed to felony.

You can always ask-POLITELY-but may not get any response. It doesn't hurt to try, but don't expect much.
