But I still have a job and will make just about as much on call as I do working scheduled.. Mostly night shifts for some reason....That's why I have to sleep in the morning so that I can be fresh in case they need me to work....

So it's all good and I am not complaining... It's giving me a chance to catch up on some cleaning and things....

I have to choose between going to North Dakota driveing my old truck for the guy that bought it from me for weeks at a time .Or going back to work on outboard motors which I,ve been out of for about 20 yrs.But it's for soome friends of mine and they realize I'm out of date and practice but are willin to work with me getting up to speed .I'm leaning towards the motors !

Is the motor thing full time?
Besides, I tghink most stern wheelers have been retired....

Pat... they all are still there doing the shifts it's just that one of us at a time have to be the on-call worker... I know it sounds strange but it works out for us and was the only thing that the Board and staff could come up with to keep it running... The one that is working on-call is paid through the church that is affiliated with the shelter and the rest are paid through the funding that we get from the Gov....I know it does not sound like much of a savings but it is enough to keep the winter program going and that was our main concern....

It's great news Tami !I did'nt expect an ideal job But at least both of these I am familiar with the people .It's hard going from an independant contractor to haveing to take orders again, but thats life !I love my driveing but I was a damn good mechanic at one time too !
