and in the dream i heard a song crystal clear so i woke up and tried to remember the lyrics to it all i can remember is the chorus to it so far...inspiration for writing??this is the 2nd time i have dreampt lyrics...
the chorus is

to help guide through it all..

I've had dreams where I've woken up and thought "damn that'd make a good story" and written or typed everything I could remember...

i even still hear how the music goes....not going to stop til i have it finished

LOL I do this a lot but I don't ever feel like writing the songs down because they're not really songs that I like...it's kind of weird.

I used to have bad dreams when I was a kid. Most of my dreams now are dark and have some kind of body of water which floods. Most of the time I'm lost or being chased.

I remember two dreams I had around the time my parents divorced, one was my dad driving a school bus, chasing me. He was angry and shaking his fist and yelling, then he hit a car and the bus crinkled like an acrodian.

Then there's this one I would have where I was looking down on my old neighborhood and I was jumping from roof top to roof top and there was this giant lion chasing me.

Steve Allen used to say that all his inspiration came when he was sleeping.
So he had notepaper, and a recorder with him at all times.
He might slightly awaken, then talk whatever was in his mind into the recorder.
He wrote hundreds of books.
Based on his notes.
From being asleep.

Happens to me all the time.
And I think, how undisciplined of me not to have a recorder handy :-)
