At one point in time,
I loved you,
I could have sworn,
it was true,
but, with love comes misery,
because I cant help but feel blue.

I really wanted to stay with you,
for once I felt that i belonged,
and in turn,
I was wronged,
I ended it quickly,
I didnt think it would hurt this much,
now I am longing to return to your touch.

I am amazed by how much I love you,
I still cant believe how much I care,
and, I'm surprised that I still blush,
when I catch that worn out stare.

This is a difficult life lesson,
yet, it is a blessing,
to love, and to lose,
to be faithful, and to use.

Its all a part of life,
and something new to learn,
I got my lesson in,
