 Mom's childhood friend and significant other are stopping by on their next RV trip. Us gals are doing the North Texas Irish Festival on March 6th, and it should be fun, as usual, to have them here. Lynne always passes on good stories about when mom was little. Bwahahaha!

This summer, am finally going to get to the Irish Cutural Festival in the Catskills, Ny with my brothers, they go every year, they play fiddle, accodian, flute. My one brother is a dance teacher, so much fun. They've been doing it for 20 years. I can't wait!

Hope it's a good one, Equus. We have a Highland fest in Estes Park, CO every September. Celebrates the Irish, Scots, and the Welsh cultures. Over the last few years, it seems to have run its course. Still fun if you've never gone to one, but if you've been to 3 or 5 of them, the crowds and the merchandising mayhem kind of gets to you. Have fun though, you gals will have a good time. Just remember your credit cards.

I have been to it and on the last day at sunset all the bagpipers come walking down the mountain playing. In PA there is the Celtic Festival one weekend in June at the Renaissance Fair near Harrisburg. There are some great bands playing there, even one that plays alot of rock, such as AC-DC, on the bagpipes. Have a great time |

I've heard of the others, and they've sounded like fun. We have been doing Irish festival the past 4 years, and Scottish Festival in June when it's not so beastly hot. I was seriously pissed at Scottish Festival this past June, so may not be doing that again. Irish Festival is always a blast, however.
I take the bank card. No way I'm walking around with 200 in cash.
