Topic: Any owners of older VW's out there?

I'm trying to find the brake light switch on my 73 super beetle and cannot find it, can't find it in the manual either. I need to get my brake lights working and I'm thinking it may be a bad switch.

hi boredinaz - haven't worked on them in a long time but i think they were button switches under the pedal you should be able to google it and find some online diagrams or replacement parts which will show you what they look like and where they are located. good luck in tracing your problem!

Had a '74 Super Beetle, and a '68 Microbus. Also they're not older, but I've had a '93 Eurovan a '01 Jetta and currently driving an '02 Bora. Anyways if you're looking for parts, I used to get some from Rocky Mountain Motor Works.
