Hello i hv a 2 part question. EVERY1 welcome to reply! 1. Do you think dark skin black women are portrayed in a dim mostly negative light by the media/ movies? 2. What do you think of dark skin black women who do not wear perms/ fake hair of any sort? 3. Who is the last dark skin woman who wore her natural hair who u thot was sexy? ( halle berry , tyra banks are light skinned black women - they dont count.) Honest- unafraid ppl plz respond I'm going out on a limb here...but I'm guessing the third question is your question and the other two are from another site? Considering the third is the only one with 'u' in it...12 years of English just so we can make up our own internet lingo...my 3rd grade English teacher is rolling in her grave... |

This can be some heavy, prophetic stuff here, and honestly...I won't be bothered to read past a line with "hv, 2, every1"...if the message is so important, wouldn't it behove the messenger to insure that it looks presentable? |

If u wouldnt be bothered 2 read past my grammer why did u?
Lets think about tht |

isnt that a 3 part question?

Unfortunately I can't take the time to respond in length.. Two famous dark skinned black women Angela Bassett and Alfre Woodard. There are more..
As far as doing their hair and makeup I think that is irrelevant considering most women no matter their ethnicity try to look their best most of the time so they get extensions, wear makeup, get their teeth capped or veneers and body work done... |

Apparently I am missing something. If someone wants to perm or color their hair, ,why is that a big deal? It is what they want to do. But if we are talking about natural beauty, then stars aren't a good example. They wear make up, which isn't natural.

I got it, Grace Jones. Born in Spanish Town, Jamaica. Not loved by all, but she is sexy and exotic to some, including me. I think she is pretty, I love her music, she has a pulse on the fashion industry because she was a former model and she lives in Paris. And she is dark skinned, and does not dye nor straighten her hair. Unique haircuts like the flat-top, but does that count? |

Grace jones. I belive we hv a winner.

If u wouldnt be bothered 2 read past my grammer why did u? Lets think about tht I breezed over it, not really reading it, more or less seeing how many times you put lazy English into the question. How about using proper English? Personally, I'm not wasting anymore thought on this, obviously you are defensive on your misuse of English...for whatever reason...you just continue doing what you do and I'll just ignore you. |

Grace jones. I belive we hv a winner. but.. she looks like a guy in drag an ugly guy, in drag |

Grace jones. I belive we hv a winner. I believe she fits your qualifications, however, she has been percieved as too aggressive and too masculine in pop-culture. Some also question her sense of fashion, but above all else, Grace is not a conformist nor a sell out. Grace is Grace, fiercely independent, strong willed, and Grace does what she wants to do, not what anyone expects her to do, even at the expense of public criticism, and that's one of the things I've always admired most about her. Grace Jones rocks in my book. Very sexy lady. |

( halle berry , tyra banks are light skinned black women - they dont count.) Honest- unafraid ppl plz respond 1. No. I see quite a bit of lovely women (inside and out) portrayed in a good way 2. It's their choice. Is there something wrong with perms or fake hair? 3. they don't count?? well I see a lot of "dark skinned" ladies that are absolutely beautiful in real life. The movies and such aren't really that accurate anyway not matter what their skin color. You have lighting, make up, costumes, etc. Gee hun, I didn't know you cared. |

Bon Bon....you are one of the beautiful ones and you know it
