Some may say, "Actions speak louder than words." Unless you're on the phone, then words must take precedence. So maybe, "Love ya, baby." or "Love you, sweetie." It's filler at the end of a phone call, sure, but it just sounds better than 'bye. I feel that way, yes, I love you, absolutely, but some people need to either keep saying it, or keep hearing it, and I'm fine with that.
