flowerforyou I was in a group of people who had it done 2 people paid 300 per eye I paid higher because of astigmatism we all had the same surgery but were charged different the assumption that people paying less don't receive the best is wrong.I recommend http://www.lasikvisioninstitute.com/

Thanks Miss Tina! BTW - do you have any night vision issues? I understand that lots of people see blurry rings when they drive at night.... Not a big issue since I rarely drive at night, but something to consider...

i was reading thru this thread,as im also a contact lens wearer.

i find it interesting that the insurance companies refuse to pay full or even partial.

esp considering that most insurance pays for glasses/contacts on a time basis.
wouldnt it be Cheaper for them to have our eyesight Fixed, rather than pay for glasses/exams/contacts??

question..the night driving..i was intrigued by the thought of no contacts, but,i do drive all the time..literally..day and nite, theres always someone needing help.

what is that about?..ie,is there a way to tell Before the surgery if this would occur?

This is great news! Thank you ladies.

I just found out that Lasik is around the same cost as glasses, so next week I'll be looking into this
