Harrumph!

OK, all you electoral buffs, I'm going to say something about North
Korea..... and Bush.....

Yesterday, the US finally unblocked a $25 million account that belongs
to the North Koreans but was stuck in the international banking system
-- a Keystone cops debate within the US government was holding it up.

So now N. Korea has formally begun to shut down one of its reactors.
This is in exchange for US and international support to N. Korea on a
number of other fronts, including energy and food.

So far, the negotiations have been fruitful. But it took overcoming
resistence within the US government to negotiations for the negotiations
to get started. The key was when the US abandoned its "We'll tell you
what to do" stance.

OK, Fanta, I know what you are going to point out -- and you will be
right!

laugh  laugh
