do you set the bar too high or low when looking for a potential match? Either way....is the outcome more than it's worth?

Examples:
Too high = not finding the one to meet your standards and being alone
Too low = meeting the wrong ones that are more trouble than it is worth


Spent most of my life doing the latter, thereby winding up in a virtually endless series of horrible (but mercifully short-term) entanglements, all of which I wish I could go back and erase.

Now, of course, the pendulum has swung the other way (as pendulums almost inevitably seem to do) and no one is good enough or smart enough or creative enough or sober enough, etc., etc., to meet my standards. But it's actually better this way.

I set too low for many years... some came out ok though :smile:
