I do'nt recall what I paid but it was out of pocket as I had no insurance so yah it is, without all the risks a woman goes through!

And along the lines of some of the other threads (and I didn't know where else to put it)...

Hey guys, once you had your 2 kids or whatever you and your partner decided upon, would you have a vasectomy?

I think a vasectomy should be done at the age of 21, well, I guess 16...whenever the hell kids start breeding. I actually think it should be turned into pill form to make it easier, or even a syrup! Oh man, we could even get it as a fruit drink!

Until it's foolproof, don't even think about going near my crotch with a knife.

it's been foolproof for years. it's just the fools that don't get it done and keep breeding and expect the woman to take care of everything...i had one done years ago.. no big thing..shave and a snip snip..bigsmile

Some stats say that it's one in four thousand, others say that it's one in every hundred per doctor. With 500000 American men getting one per year, consider the number of failures.

That's not foolproof, IMO, but probably presents more favorable odds than the average surgery.

I had mine when I was 24, 2 kids; girl & boy; knew that if we really wanted a good life, 2 was enough. Doc's made sure I was thinking this all out. Yes, it was one of my better life decisions. No problems, did light work the next day. NEVER ANY type of regrets or problems.

OPINION: More people should think like I do.

For me, it's not something I would ever consider doing, but I do see what everyone else is saying. I'm in the pregnate capital of the world. I live in UT and Beaver alone of 30000 people. You will see more teens prgenant or have had a child already. Being it's the mormon capital of the world doesn't help any either.

How about hell to the NO! You're married or living with someone, for lets say 3, 5, maybe 7 years. You have a kid or two with her. She cheats and leaves you for another man, and takes the kids. Now what? You wanna start over again but you can't because she snipped your wires. They can bail out at any time, don't think it won't happen.

I think since it's reversible that it should be a requirement for teen boys until they can prove they are financially and mentally stable ready to reproduce. Same with teen girls...they should get the shots.

it would never be reversed if that were the criteria..men spend 9 months getting out of one and:laughing: the rest of their lives trying to get back into ne..bigsmile bigsmile
