So are you admitting that Eisenhower Kennedy Johnson esp for the Gulf Of Tonkin lie, and Nixon should have been tried for waging an unprovoked aggressive war that lead to the deaths of 58,000 Americans and millions of south east Asians? If you are addressing me, I said that it was not preemptive and they had the balls to call it the ugly unnecessary thing that it was. Wars are stupid, they show the ignorance of the people who participate in them. Not talking about soldiers though because soldiers are doing their job, it is those in power who cause the unnecessary wars. I'm thinking you're right...every person who participates or war should move out of this country...then we will leave America as a pacificist country with no one it willing to fight...let that reputation get out and see what happens...America would be taken over so quickly because of the access to the water-ways...it could be any country that took it over really...they wouldn't need to do much because they would know no one left here would fight...then all of us 'warmongers' would have to come back in...declare war and re-take over America...no doubt unintentiolaly killing innocent by-standers but by that time they would probably rather die then live in the dictatorship that America would become.....so I guess it's our choice really. If you really believe that, you are behind in times. Our dangers come from within, our own homegrown problems. Hell Bush gave us a taste of dictatorship during his reign. This country will be ruined by its own citizens. Warring all over the world, being hatefilled and arrogant, being intolerant, etc.... We will destroy ourselves and leave the rotting remains for someone to try to fix. That is what will happen. The cold war mentality is old and no longer valid. Probably the most logical and intelligent comment so far on this thread.

However, the purposeful targeting of civilian populations is a war crime, regardless of whether or not your enemy attacked you first.. I was talking about Vietnam.. Iraq never attacked us. But yeah I can compare Bay of Tonkin with 9-11...after the military industrial complex hired the CIA to murder Kennedy it enabled LBJ to deploy troops to Vietnam...SSDD with 9-11 giving the Dippic a "justified" shot at Iraq and Afhanistan. But some are light years behind in understanding how sordid our history is....JTC if we all knew then we'd never let it happen again right? Right? I guess you can't give the old red, white and blue a black eye....so I guess this crap will never end. It will be less likely to happpen (the covert ops against ourselves like 9-11) under President Obama but others will come along and phuck it up eventually...we never learn as displayed on this thread...the denials and defenses of the criminals is shocking. We need to bust the criminals..are not conservatives about justice? No? Do they want to keep repeating the same mistakes expecting different results? (Insanity) BTW earlier...great post Dragoness. |
