The CDC knew about the PASS Alarm failures that were occurring with the firefighters.
At :39 you will see the beginning of the long procession coming to the church for the funeral. You will see the widow that I know and my Pastor holding her child's hand. I was there that day. At 2:10 you will see Rob Morrison. He should have never died. His wife was a pre-school teacher and he volunteered there. My child went there and he helped often helped and played with my child. His children went to school with my child. They all went to my church. This happened several years ago and still is in court today. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/16945072#16945072 |

I didn't know that the CDC investigates firefighters deaths. I am shocked at their behavior in all of this.

Why? Why is it so hard for people to accept constructive criticism?
Why is it so hard for someone who sees a problem with the current equipment or technique to help fix the problem without suffering some kind of negative consequence for raising a legitimate issue? When will we ever learn? |

we gutted out an old hotel one time and i was supervising the job and when we got to the firesprinklers we took apart the pipe and rust fell out. almost all the pipes where clogged with rust so basically if the hotel would of caught on fire the rust would have prevented the sprinkler heads from working, its was a dry system.....then to come to find out there wasn't enough psi coming from the city main so even if the pipes werent rust there wasnt enough pressure for water to actually spray it would of dripped from th sprinkler heads so my point is the firemarshal never came and did a flush and pressure system test.
then atop of that the owner had electricians come and replace some old aluminum wire for copper and the electricians used smurfpipe instead of EMT...wow how did that pass?hell in someplaces they just had romex pulled through the STEEL floor joist so basically my point firemen wouldn't have to die if people would do their job correctly |

That sucks, Winx.

Wow that's horrible Winx. Hopefully the court actions will bring about the changes that should have happened years ago. Firefighters risk their lives for us and deserve the best equipment possible. We owe them that...
They ignored the investigator's reports then fired him for pressing the issue?...heads should roll at the CDC. Sorry for your loss. "The federal agency that investigates firefighters' deaths ignored a warning in 2000 that "man down alarms" weren't always being heard. It took five more years for the agency to issue a warning. By then, a total of 15 firefighters had died at fires where rescuers weren't given a chance to find them quickly." No excuses for this! |

Yes, heads should roll at the CDC!!
I'm wondering why they oversea the PASS alarm systems and OSHA doesn't. |
