I have an online class that I cannot do. It keeps telling to turn off pop ups permantely. Though I have given permission for the site to pop up. What else can I do? http://www.nctc.edu/elearning/eLearning/faqs.html Scroll down to 'Technical Help' and try what it recommends for pop-up blocker. |

I use Firefox. It's easy to turn of the pop-up blockers if need be. I had Google Chrome. It crashed my computer constantly. I got rid of it. I don't use IE, for some reason it won't work on my PC. Firefox is the best browser, in my opinion, and should be used by all PC users ... the ability to customize is seemingly endless. If I used Windows, I would never use IE. Heck, even Safari is a much better browser than IE ... faster and more compliant. Although I think Firefox is top-notch, I use Chrome on my machines (MacBook Pros and Linux desktops). Chrome offers many advantages over other browsers ... and once the extensions start to appear, you will find it a "better browser experience" than the others. |

Beating a dead horse here, but just try firefox.
If your class site/software isn't compatible with firefox, try using Maxthon...uses the IE shell without all of the suck of IE. |

I didn't think IE was still an option to use for anyone. Like others have said try either Firefox or Chrome. Then us Ad block plugin through the tools on Firefox. With Ad block you can customize the sites you allow pop ups.
