I was thinking more along the lines of the vitamins you get in grocery stores.

I would research online suppliers rather than use homogenized, commercial brands.

if your ph is not alkaline, you are wasting your money, because your body won't absorb much of the vitamins unless you are alkaline. You can test your ph with ph paper from the health food store/pharmacy.

Also, do not take pill forms! Find liquid or liquid gels for everything. They body, at best, only absorbs 1/3 of any pill we consume.

I swear by eye-dropper dosages. It tasts like hell but if you make a liquid cocktail all at once and splash some OJ in the glass -- it's a quick shot.

Take vitamin C or drink OJ with your suppliments to promote better absorbtion.

also, wheatgrass is amazing! Try Jamba Juice for a shooter. It will get you hooked and hyper. Better than RockStar, coffee, or other "energy" crap.

A daily mega dose of B vits.

Bill Wilson one of the co-founders of A.A. suffered from severe depression, even in long term sobriety and found that large doses of B vits. helped. So I started last year and it seems to help me quite a bit.

The problem lies with the cost for me, I buy the best I can afford. Also capsules! Like previously stated, the body does not absorb all of hard rock little vitamis, especially Calcium. They are the hardest to breakdown so it's valuable to get it in gel caps or caps.
I take high potency B vitmins, excellent for the neurological side of you and stress. It's best to know what Vit. are water soluable and which are not..taking a multivitamin is fine but not when it has 100% of everything...you may be overdoing it which could later cause problems.

Vitamins are great! I see a huge difference if I go off them. And definitely agree with everyone who said the health food stores. Much better quality there.

I've been taking some plant based supplements for the last few years. I can't believe the difference it has made in my life. My energy, disposition, apetite, skin have all improved. Try watching this youtube video for an explanation. There are several other related videos that are very worthwhile watching. Sorry I can't get it to come up as a linke. Want to know more just email me.

I eat foods in their natural state when possible.
Keep my body alkaline
Take vitamin C,flax oil and cayenne pepper.

Mostly I take minerals and herb teas.

Our soil is depleted of minerals and our water supply does not have enough sulfur.

Taking sulfur (MSM) reduces inflammation, makes hair, nails and skin fabulous with many other health benefits.

calcium/magnesium and D.
A daily multiple with chromium and alpha lipoic acid

You should consult a Naturopathic Dr. and not rely on a sales person at a vitamin shop to see what needs if any you may have or supplements you would benefit from.

Don't waste money on the cheap wally world/walgreen crap...

I agree we should try to eat the right foods, but our foods are not full of all those wonderful vitamins and minerals they used to have. Our soil is being depleted, as you say. So even if we try to eat the right foods we're not getting what our body needs. I tried for years, and did, grow my own food. That helped. But even that is difficult to achieve given the depletion of the soil and the new types of plants and seeds that are available. Seed companies are not out to produce seeds that have the most nutrients anymore. It's all about size, color, or shipping ability, etc.
