The invention of the Smiley face. I had a smiley face rug that my mom made me. I still have smiley face salt and pepper shakers and drinking glasses.  I remember skulls being pretty popular too. I had a skull lamp and a treasure shaped jewelry box.

and really, did everything really have to smell like patchouli? and what was up with those stupid clacker balls? those things always exploded when I did em and sent glass shards everywhere but at least we had Nixon to dump on. He made Bush look like a princess My mom wouldn't let us have clackers.

West Texas Baptist community, dancing was evil and forbidden and all that so we would all go out to the highway at night. line up the pickups on the side of the road with the headlights pointing in (there was NO traffic at night) turn on KOMA (Oklahoma City AM station) on all the radios really loud and have dances in the middle of the highway |
