That's rough, but you can get through it. Don't let it own you. And, make sure you communicate with your dr. if med. isn't working, or making you feel off, let them know how it's making you feel. Don't be afraid to try a different med. you may have to go through hundreds to find the one that works for you.

I don't know of any support groups or anything, but I know they are available, your dr. might know of something in your area. Those can help you.

It's not something you can shake. You just have to find a way to live with it. You will always experience more intense ups and downs the the average person, but that doesn't mean you can't live an enjoyable and full life. You're not alone. There are people that know and understand what you're going through.

Being diagnosed with something is a difficult experience. On the one hand you feel relieved because now your symptoms have a name. And there is a treatment. On the other hand you are now faced with the reality that you have this "disease" and that can be difficult to deal with. Counseling and support groups are good, but time is your real friend.

Everyone is different and will respond differently to various medications and treatments. Over time you will find what works for you. Learn as much as you can about your condition and you will find in a couple of years that you know best which treatment work for you and how you need to live your life to keep it under control. flowerforyou

That's not something you can shake Red. I would however seek a second opinion on the diagnosis. I can ask a friend for some resources if you would like? flowers

You are recently diagnosed. If you are taking new meds, this could even be a negative side effect from the med. Maybe call your doctor, Red.flowerforyou

Go for a walk. You'd be surprised how much something simple like that can alleviate some of the depression.

Honestly. It's a type of distraction therapy, in a way.

I would do all of the above. Second opinions are always a good idea regardless of what you've been diagnosed with. Definitely check in with your doctor on your new meds. And google your meds, too. I found more about my medication's side effects from googling them than I ever got from doctors. And, lastly, a walk or any exercise really is an excellent suggestion. It sounds so simple but its been a life saver for me many times.

Only been on the meds for 2 days, I know they take time to work.

Never got the email..

This was a second opinion. My regular doctor did some test an said it was then she told me to find someone else to see bout it. To make sure it was.

I was thinking bout garbing my dog an going for a walk, I dont know what else to do.

I have been reading up on it a little.

More links would be great thank you.

You're doing great! You are talking about it and reading about and getting the medical attention you need! I know it doesn't make you feel better right now, but you really are doing very well! flowers

Your doc still needs to know about what's happening, Red. The meds may be hurting more than helping or they haven't taken affect yet. The doc would know.flowerforyou

Like plastic said... get out and take a walk.

I know you probably don't feel like it... but get in the shower... put on some clothes... and get outside. And if the sun is out, even better!

Sometimes you just have to push a little through these days.

Keep a journal, chart your moods... any side effects from the med's etc.

Depending on what they put you on, you might be feeling the meds.

Just keep reminding yourself that your mood will eventually change.

Is there anything you can do to help it... is something bugging you? Maybe just picking up the dirty cleans and throwing a load in the washer.. .or the dishes or just complishing something today will make you feel better.
