Went out last night with some family and friends to have a few drinks. And the bartender was asking a friend and my mother questions about me when I was NOT around. I didn't find out till this morning. He asked them how old I am (Even though he had already been serving me drinks, What I do for work, what I like to do, Do I read, play games, What do I like to eat, and the like.

does he like me? or is he just being curious/ friendly?

Sounds like a little of both :)

So I will without a doubt see him tomorrow night or sunday. Should I straigh out say something to him or should I just hint around? I've never really done this before.

Neither.

Just have a casual flirty conversation with him, but without your mom and friends around.
See how he responds. Let him take the lead in the conversation.
Again, he is a bartender and his job is to be flirty with everyone, so he may be a little harder to read than just your average guy at the bar.
If he spends more time talking and flirting with you, than with the other girls around the bar that night, well then he may be genuinely interested.

Good Luck, but most of all, have fun with it.

No, he is a CIA agent and he is interviewing your family for possible leads to the gold that went missing. Careful, their interrogation tactics are ruthless.

I didn't ask the question, obviously he had some attraction...yet you ask a bunch of people you don't even know a question that you can well answer yourself.

1+1=2

"so he may be a little harder to read than just your average guy at the bar."

Ha, ha, ha, ha, what is NOT harder to read than your average guy at the bar? The grade 1 primer? See Jack. See Jane. See Jack want to f Jane.

OP, this seems to have been stuck in your head. If a female bartender did the same thing to my father and friends about me, I'd be equally just as much stung and perplexed. Me? ME? A bartender???? Nobody above the level of an ant who was screaming and running in all directions when my foot was hovering over her has been interested in me in what seems like a thousand years.

Whew... that sentence was long. Let me catch my breath.

So I share the sentiments. And lo and behold! There is a gorgeous chick at the meatmarket, she is truly a knock-out. She gives me the eye, big smiles, the works. She's quiet otherwise. I made some inquiries: She just gave birth to a baby, husband non-existent. They figure at the shop that I am Jewish, so this girl automatically thinks I can give her child a name and a good education and finance his schooling and blotched business attempts and get him bail any time he needs it. He's a baby, but you can't plan too long ahead. So the other day I go in, and Dawn says, "Sir, when are you finally going to invite me to your house for dinner?" I just about dropped to the floor. Where did this come from? She doesn't even know my name, not even my first name. So I said, that'd be much too dangerous for both of us; if she's hungry, I'll take her to a restaurant gladly. Her eyes sank deep, and she looked near suicidal for a week, but now we're back to normal with the long, warm, inviting smiles and stares with big, beautiful eyes.

I thought it was funny, the guy does sound like an investigator or something. Even for making small talk, all those questions would be creepy. It would make more sense for him to just talk to you and get to know you, rather than interrogate your friends and family. I hope they didn't give out too much personal information, stalkers are real.

That old song just popped into my head "Don't ask my neighbor, come to me".

I'd have to say the bartender has some real interest in you or he surely wouldn't have asked all those questions and those kinds of questions.

"Sigh"

Why is it that people have to question the obvious? Seriously, if dude is gonna ask all those questions, when you weren't around, means he was trying to find out about you, was afraid to ask you himself, and he does have interest. Doesn't mean he will be your next boyfriend, but it does mean that he tipped his hat to your friends and now he is leaving it up to you as to how you play on it.

One thing, do not have any expectatons because expectations are premeditated resentments. Just talk with him. Act like your Mom and friend didn't even say anything about his questions and see where things go. Good luck
