The "Sundae" was created in resopnse to "Blue Laws " which said ice cream sodas could NOT be sold on Sunday, because they were too FRILLY. LOL The name was changed to get around the law.

There is controversy but it may have been Wisconsin Blue Laws. No I wouldn't like them back. The only things open were gas stations, drug stores and restraunts. Yikes

Yeah it was a family day. Dad piled everyone in the car for a drive and then we went to the diner for dinner. It was the one day everyone had to slow down

Thing is, there is/was too much population too close to state lines that had no blue laws. Everyone was going to another state and LOTS of tax revenue was being lost. I dont that Genie could ever be put back in its box.

It shouldn't have to be. The Pa laws were changed around 1960. It would be nice to live at a slower pace tho.
