my last tat hurt like hell. i remembered my first being only slightly uncomfortable. of course my second was all lettering. it felt like someone cutting me with a razor; slowly.

Here's the deal... with tattoo that has both outline and color or shading, the outline hurts worse, then by the time you get to the color your skin has numbed up a bit and you don't feel it as much. Lettering is essentially all outline.

My last tattoo was done in 2 sessions because it was to big for one. First outline only then came back 2 weeks later for the color and shading. My artist did the shading first and then went right back over it with the color so I would have to say that was a bit more unpleasant than just the outline alone.

It depends a lot where the tattoo's given on the amount of discomfort. I had one on my leg & although it didn't hurt I had a nerve sensitivity I guess you'd call it & when they'd go over that one spot the nerve in my leg would flinch & I couldn't stop it! Had one between my finger & thumb & it stung a little. My son gave me my last tattoo & it took about an hour. But, we finished it in one sitting.

The only way to know what its going to feel like is to go get one for yourself. Everyone has their own unique experiences. Theres no one right answer on how it will feel or where it hurts most. everyone experiences pain differently.

LOL I had to convince my 2 yr old nephew that a temporary tattoo would not hurt him. He went as far as making me put one on myself first

it feel's dif to everyone.to me the one on my arm just felt like a num feeling the one on my left boob it had a lil presure on the bone area but no big thing to me.my 3rd one on left wrist was a lil more painfull than the other's guess cause skin is thin n that area.but go get a small one first.
