What does this mean to the 50's generation
 Thank goodness I have two young sons...and even younger neices and nephews to explain this "Phrase" to me according to their generation  Hope to see some FUNNY stuff posted!

I thought it meant to ask you for something. Like 'if you need anything feel free to hit me up'....but I do think it means to get in contact with someone.

"contact me" "call me" "get in touch with me" So what did the kids tell you? They said something similar..but it still makes little sense to use those choices of words to say "CALL ME"  Wonder what "HIT ME SIDEWAYS" would mean?

might be money, but could be something else the person needs....a place to stay for the night, a contact person, a certain piece of information..... |

"Hit Me Up" in my generation, is someone asking for something, usually $$...I usually say huh??huh??? what??? huh?? my age you know can't hear a darn thing...seems to work...
