Read Luke 14:33. That is pure Communist rhetoric. "...any of you who does not give up everything he has, cannot be my disciple." You've taken this out of context. Luke 14:25-35 is about the cost of being a disciple. A few passages before this, he is talking about the importance of calculating costs before taking an action (a capitalist concept). IOW, he is saying that his message must be understood in its entirety and not taken out of context for the listener/reader to fully understand it. |
