Do you Gorge yourself,or do you think of others?

I don't gorge myself free or not...

Free as in at a friend or relative's house, no I do not gorge. And I do think of others. However free beer is another story.

I tend to visit all-u-can-eat places, and i eat a "hearty meal" lets say lol!

Remember the Jesus feeds 5,000 parable? Five loaves and 2 fishes, that was pretty amazing. If people share more and always think of others, it can go a long way.

An so they are selfish in thinking,an the thought of this has been done,i so wanted to crash this ( Little )" Party " just for promotional,i can say it was for (coca cola)!It was a 3 day event,what the cost was? Could have fed many familys for weeks?

But, what are the circumstances here? If I'm in a snowed-in cabin and I have sandwiches in my suitcase I will share. But if I'm at a church picnic everyone can grab a paper plate as well as I can.

I made food that went to waste,i couldn't eat it myself.But it was thrown out!!!For knowone else to eat!!!
I just don't get it, with the corporation,an their way of thinking,they give,but only if it shows on paper,an then it's a tax write off or what?

I never gorge, not so much thinking of others, so much as I don't find it healthy or satisfying. Pigging out on anything tends to leave me feeling worse than eating nothing at all.

It was free for them,an for the last 3 day gorged themselves. I don't think,as for myself...couldn't do it without having a thought,
When children might be going hungry,or being cold

I use to have friends over often for dinner.Lets say 3 /4 times a week.I hate eating alone...what I have found is men over eat,because they don't get homecooking often.
Also I have a few that even ask for leftovers,usually thats my single g/f's...
Then you have the couples that come over, now they bring their adult kids.They don't ask they just show up, eat and leave.
Makes me truly wonder where manors apply??
For myself when invited for a free meal,I was raised to take in to consideration how many at the table,if everyone will get some, on the serving i'm taking.
As for all you can eat places,I take only what I can eat..i'm not wasteful.And No I don't gorge.

I don't gorge myself just because it is free. But my grandpa always said food tastes better when it is free.

I SEE that waste everyday at MOST eating places....
And when I was with my mother staying with her in her hospital room.
WOW,,,THEY,,,,waswte a LOT of drinks and FOOD there.....
If its been on a TRAY,,,,,its TRASHED......no-matter if ever opened or used,,,just TRASH IT.....and then,,,like you,,,
I think of ALL the ones who really NEED FOOD,,,and can't get it...

It makes me KNOW,,,,,,ALL,could do their wastes,,,BETTER,,,and save them-selves money if nothing else...

If I'm hungry, I eat. Free or not. But, I'm usually one of the last to leave any 'gathering',so if I know food is going to be thrown out, I'll always find room for it. Few things p1ss m3 0ff more than wasting food!!!!!

I grew up with a mother like that and it is partly the reason I am overweight. She couldn't stand to see food go to waste....hence we ate more than we should have. I STILL have a hard time throwing food away. We are very frugal at my house with groceries, yet I hate to see something go out of the fridge into the trash.

Any big gathering my family had, we always had extra people included that maybe wouldn't get a holiday meal. They were welcomed into the fold. Not only did they get a meal, they got friends.

I agree OP that corporations do waste entirely too much food. I can see sanitary reasons why they can't give it away, but it does seem like things could be scaled back.....and when it's gone, it's gone. You see this with big corporations in other areas as well, not just food. The amount of "stuff" that people could use but gets throw away is astounding.
