I'm new to this site, and have a question about sending mail on here. I sent someone an email on here, but it didn't show up in my sent folder, is that because it didn't go through? or do they just not show up there for some reason?

If you sent it then it should show up in your sent box. When it is read then there will be a check mark next to it. There are filters in place for initial emails....such as contact info and obscene language. Also, if the other member has certain mailing criteria set and you don't fit that criteria, then it won't go through.

yellowrose doesnt a box pop up telling you that if the criterias dont fit? as soon as you press send?

buttons, it's not technically a pop-up, but you are essentially correct. If the user's settings do not allow it, then you get a message saying that the email is not allowed.

Not everyone actually reads the restrictions though. I mentioned the restrictions as a possibility

yes yellowrose, most dont notice the restrictions before they try to email.. i agree.... however if u dont fit those restrictions.. as soon as your press send to send the email, something tells you that the email wont go through..<the thing that is not a pop up> but it is like a warning to the person sending the mail to someone.that the mail wont go through because of the restrictons. so if it was that, perhaps he either did not notice<the note> becaise of being new here new and thought his email went through, and it really did not.. or it must be some other issue than that if it did not tell him it would not go through i hope i wrote this better for others to understand this time hugs.. deb

I didn't mean it that way either buttons. I was clarifying. But you did bring up a good point on how to notice the restrictions. And yes it will show you a message saying it didn't go through.
