Of course one without herpes would prefer NOT to date someone with herpes, but those with herpes at least would be able to find a relationship with more ease with others who know what it's all about, and obviously, since both would already have it, there would be no concern about it. Gosh, so..... like, with this attitude....Someone like my sister-in-law who inadvertently picked up herpes is now unlovable and unworthy? It's estimated that one of five people has it. Some carry it for years without symptoms. Some were "careful" and still got it. Doesn't mean they were slutty men and women, either. For all you know, you may have it and are completely unaware. God forbid, but this is a very pervasive STD. Men and women in their 70's are finding themselves with symptoms now.

Good post.

From a medical standpoint, you are correct. It is becoming more prevalent in our older generation.

Hey, even if they aren't sexually active now (and they may still be), Grampa and Gramma used to like to get it on, just as much as the rest of us.

So if you had herpes you wouldn't want to date someone else with it?

you'd rather just spread it around?

I wouldn't worry about it. I think most people are struck by that website, at first - that it seems a little odd. But SKPCG did a good job of putting it into perspective.
