people forget everything important.
lets go back to 10th grade science shall we.... the polar caps get so much heavier over the centuries that the earth starts to wobble. Melting off is a way for the earth to fix its rotation. If this didn't happen, it would change its axis. in which case.. most life on earth would die. Global warming and ice caps melting is a normal process. the hype is all crap! |

something I've wondered
water increases in volume when it freezes. and the frozen ice caps displace a certain amount of water so if they melt, shouldn't the sea level go down ? |

Sounds like a plan, I just enjoy hearing from people who have likely never set foot in either Afghanistan or Iraq and base all of their opinions off of what CNN says. And back to the topic at hand, global warming just means that I can wear shorts in winter, YAY!

Since the whole effect is more than just 'global warming' the more correct term is 'climate change' or 'climate shift'
Interestingly is the predicted effect on the Gulf Stream, which is warm and warms the Northern Atlantic which keeps Europe relatively temperate is melting polar ice caps will chill the Gulf Steam and shift Europe in to much colder weather. |
