Don't think anyone mentioned that one! Journey, Air Supply, New Edition etc... You could unscramble the tv's back then with magnets and watch the Playboy Channel! Pond Puppy/Cabbage Patch mania. Multiple colors, thick layered socks scrunched down over the high top reboks! Neon clothes and sunglasses..... and sometimes neon shirts with pictures of neon sunglasses on them  E.T. "Meatballs" "Porky's" I could keep going.... |

Ok, I skipped here...this is a long thread...but for me the 80's were being a single parent (son born Jan. 1980) working hard to support and raise him and great times with amazing bunch of house mates...Bad hair for both sexes - LOLOLOL. Elementary schools FINALLY starting to catch on to real learning disabilities and fighting 'Ritalin' as the big answer. No insurance and getting through medical emergency's. The 80's were awesome because of what I was doing in my life. not because of 'the time'. Same as now I guess....

I was a Ritalin kid. Think it goofed me up for life. Generic Ritalin is called Dextromethamphetamine-Sulphate. That can't be good.
