Topic: I was talking about baggage... | |
---|---|
with a woman at work yesterday about baggage and she said she has never
had any baggage. Just moved on...etc. I found this funny because if she had a least worked through the ****, she wouldnt be on her 3rd marriage and *****ing about this one....thoughts? |
Im thinking that we all need to work through our baggage so we dont do
the same mistakes. |
true nothing worse then unloading leftover baggage onto a new
relationship. |
She wasnt lying.she has gotten over the past she just hasn't learned
from it.You can work thru all the **** you want but if you dont change the pattern its a waste of time. |
Unless she was brain-dead in those marriages, which would explain her
divorce rate. |
my thoughts exactly cute devil and manwich....this is why its taken me
so long to date...or even think about dating...I dont want to dump any baggage on anyone, unfortunately it rears its ugly head now and again |
at least Im honest

Well, Gypsy, don't be so hard on yourself. YOu are responsible only for
what you did wrong in the relationship, if you found something out about yourself that you want to do better at. You might not have the same problems in a new relationship. Maybe it was the ex's fault sometimes! |

Of course we have to address issues and the past. We should get it all
packed up nice, neatly and packed away and not move on until we do so. Warning The packing away of issues and the past does not guarantee that will stay packed away. Issues and the past have a way of unpacking themselves and sneaking out when you least expect them to. |

Then that lady is in heavy denial...EVERYONE has baggage....They may
feel they have dealt with it by moving on right away...BUT what they have actually done is supressed all the emotion that surrounds the issue....ONLY to have it come back up at some other point in their lives and wonder they why!!!!!!!! |
OOOPPPSS they wonder why
Native....
I was thinking the same thing.... How do you just get rid of it? I know for a fact that I have baggage, how do you not?? For me learning how to deal with things are alot better than being in denial of them, right Am I thinking something wrong here?? |
I agree native.. BTW How are you feeling today? |
I'm feeling better thanks delray...My eye is not as swollen just pretty
colours and the doc says there is no permanant damage and I'm even less sore today...BUT still talking advil for my headaches...My doctor said that's to be expected though from my kind of injuries!!!!!!!! Thanks for asking!!!!!!!! |
No I think you are right puffins...I have experienced it fist hand...So
I know.....Not just in relationships but other areas as well...Where you just want to forget..BUT life reminds you that forgetting is not dealing......working through it is dealing and letting yourself feel the pain and emotions!!!!!! |

Hiya Gypsy.....I think we all have a little baggage....and I approach it
this way....I try to start off fresh...don't make any predispositions on anything, but we all know it will eventually come up...that's the key.....is how you handle it...hopefully with grace and tact..and for some...that is the difficulty!...they seem to have a hangup and can't move forward....the last thing I try to do is to compare current experiences with HISTORY....I always try to give the benefit of the doubt....unless of course it becomes habitual!...;) |

i have pink baggage

I bet you do!...lmao! ;)

Our own past is all we have to compare anything to...as it is what we
have known... I believe the way one handles their ownership of this "baggage" will play a great role in how well we "adjust" in our future. Ahhh...and it is never easy...lol... |
