Avoidance, isn't all it is cracked up to be. We avoid things and never really know what the turn out will be.

Do you ever find yourself avoiding certain situations to protect yourself? The protective walls have always gone up incredibly fast and sometimes that is just the time I needed to backstep away from what appeared to be a dangerous situation. I've been trying to be better about leaving the walls down and standing my ground, but I'm afraid I'm still pretty lousy at doing that. Practice MAY make perfect, but the jury is still waaaaay out!

To protect me and others. I use to think that everything had to be said. Now i listen. Or i steer the person into figuring it out for themselves

Do you ever find yourself avoiding certain situations to protect yourself? I think everyone a time or two has has this happen. I think it is especially important to communicate well about the situation or when you see the same situation start to happen learn from whatever happened before and be clear what it is you want or expect..
