No one cares aye?

Where are all those who supported him when he was refusing Obama's stimulus check?

Did you know that South Carolinians did not get unemployment benefits extended because of that fact? Those unfortunate enough to be still needing the help, and their families, are now on their own.

Actually, the South Carolina supreme court ruled he had to request the money and he did. I'm not sure how you missed that, but I'll post the link to a well known left wing site for your viewing pleasure.

Here is the link to verification that he requested the money.

Also, your claim about unemployment checks running out is not accurate. Sanford signed a bill into law that extended benefits to South Carolina residents on October 29, 2009.. This included people that had their checks already run out.

You got the title of the post right.. I guess something is better than nothing..

Many of those unemployment checks had already stopped by the time the legislation was passed.

The reason they had ceased id because of Sanford's resistance to the stimulus. No one had filled out the necessary paper request for the stimulus funds.
All this is an indirect cause to his call for impeachment (from the residents of SC). The legislature has more concrete legal reasons without having to risk failure.
I live less than 40 miles from SC. I watch the Greenville News every day.

The important thing here is that Sanford refused to resign even though the people requested it. The legislature listened, Republican and Democrat alike, and have pretty much put to rest Sanford's aspirations to become the next Republican Party nomination for President.
The reason he rejected the Stimulus so publicly to begin with.

Sanford's personal decisions were awful. He should have resigned immediately. The fact that they have to impeach him makes him look even worse.

Let's not forget that Blago wouldn't resign either, and the charges against him were much worse.

Yes, but Sanford was derelict from the duties of his office. Also he violated State laws on travel, use of political contributions, and reimbursement of expenses.

Isn't it funny how sackcloth and ashes are what the common man literally gets while the elites in Far Right ideology only play at the metaphor?

Want a real headscratcher? Google up Sanford's recent Newsweek article on Ayn Rand.

All Clinton did was have consensual sex, he should have never been on the chopping block to begin with.
