well see you are keeping me company and isn't that a nice thing to do? concerding I was invited out for drinks and I passed it up yeah this is big party night. The youngerone went to a friend's house and the older one just left with my car to go out. He's good though. If he drinks and there is no DD, he'll leave the car and they call parents to come get them and we'll get the car in the morning so your car less tonight? that would drive me nuts I've been carless most of the week! He took it all weekend to go to NYC. He met a girl and is doing the long distance romance thing. So far it seems to be working. Maybe if I get lucky I'll have to take lessons from my son. it never worked for me JMO I personally think it would be darn near impossible but we'll see. If she can talk him into moving closer to home I'll love her!!

yeah Tim it has been a really long time for me too. After you get kicked in the stomach, you start to believe that you're just better off alone. I don't know if I'll be any good at it but I want to believe that with the right person, it could work. I think growing older alone will be sad so I just want to be open to the idea that it could happen and that not everyone is my ex. There are good people out there. Don't you ever miss sharing things as simple as cooking with someone?

I agree. So we'll just stay open to the idea and maybe when we least expect it that person will show up. In the meantime we can commiserate together
