Topic: Getting Married | |

Wow. I didn't think it would be this soon that I would be saying this, but I asked my fiance to marry me, and he said yes. And we've decided that we want to do our own thing up there rather than having someone else read the stuff. There is so much I want to say to him, but I have no clue where to start. I was hoping that you guys could help me, and maybe give me an idea of where to start at, so maybe it would help me start writing.

I don't know either of you or anything about your relationship so I can't be of any help with your vows.
Best of luck to ya |

Thanks.
He seems to be having no problem of thinking what to say, last we mentioned it, he had wrote 3 pages already on what he wanted to say, I'm not even close. |

The best advice I could give is say what is on your heart. All that matters is that you love this guy and want to share your life with him. It doesn't have to be fancy that would oooh and ahhh the audience. Besides, if you do write out your vows, there's a possibility you may forget what you've written once it's time to say them.

that's very nice.....GOOD LUCK, LOL I find it kind of weird a woman asking a man to marry her though....I'm not sexist or anything, I just think the guy should have taken the step.

my dad told me
If you must get married. Marry a mean old ugly biotch. That way no one will steal her from you and if they do, who cares? |

I beat him to the punch. Lol. We've been best friends since we were both 14, and I knew he was the one right off the bat haha. A couple people that I've told said the same thing about not expecting it. |

Make sure you state in your vows that if he is ever unfaithful that you will get 75% of his assets in the divorce.

Generally in wedding ceremonies....
A Welcoming of the families, friends and guests. An Invocation of The Divine: God, Jesus Christ, Spirit. to bless the wedding couple, their marriage, and those present. A short reading about love, marriage, commitment, faith in each other, family, importance of marriage in community. Declaration of Love by the couple. Vows of love, commitment, fidelity. Exchange of rings. Pronouncement of Marriage. That's kind of a typical format. Use it as a guide to where and when you want to express your feelings, what it is you want to say. |
