It doesn't bother me any more than how one spells. People on here are from all over the place..one term can mean something different to another. It can be challenging to grasp the true meaning of what one is saying through typed words...some words are used to just get a point across.

Unfortunately I am bothered about people's spelling mistakes, can you imagine (heaven forbid) a doctor with poor spelling? scared scared

I notice, particularly in forums like these, that people REALLY misuse the english language in an attempt to be insulting. For example,,calling the president a moron. By definition a moron is a person having an intelligence quotient of between 50 and 70, able to work under supervision,, obviously not a class our president who graduated magna cum laude from Harvard would fall under. I think , for those who oppose his views or think he doesnt do a good job,,adjectives like INEPT (Displaying a lack of judgment, sense, or reason) or underezperienced would be insults that the author could more easily find tidbits to back up.

What misuse of the english language stands out the most to you in these forums...?
holy cow i'm smarter than a moronnoway

Where I'm from (a small town in the south) people don't use (big words) like people do on here.Your everyday run of the mill people(at least where I'm from)never use some of the words I see on here.People should be able to talk how ever they want to talk, without being made to feel stupid because they don't speak "proper" english,or use "big" words.

Oh, my point is not that anyone should feel stupid. I am just curious as to the mistakes that others observe most frequently. Particularly , when people are trying to insult the intelligence of someone and dont grasp the english language so perfectly themselves, it just happens to draw MY attention.

it seems anything against our president DRAWS your attention. He acts moronic(better) moron also means foolish....so he could be considered a moron in the moment. Just like someone could be considered an idiot in the moment. JMO
