Topic: Just saw 2012 | |

Well, if you like disaster flicks, and awesome disaster scenes, then go and see 2012. It isn't a film that will win Best Picture, but it is good. If you like John Cusack, then will get to see him as a hero, which is so very different for him. Anyways, it is a long film, and it does drag in spots, but the effects make up for it.

I can't see John Cusack without thinking "I want my $2!" I know right? First time they showed him on screen, I was like....It's Lloyd Dobbler from Say Anything. |

I can't see John Cusack without thinking "I want my $2!" Better Off Dead... CLASSIC movie... I want my $2 and "international language of love" two of the best lines.. oh and the first scene when he's going to hang himself, changes his mind and his mom bumps into him and knocks him off the stairs while vacuuming... |

Or when the hamburger comes to life and begins to sing "Everybody wants some" by Van Halen. Awesome. |

I think this movie with resurface, when we get closer to 2012.
I really enjoyed the action scenes..... |

I saw this movie over the weekend. While the special effects were neat, I think the movie was just too hokey for me to really like. I usually like John Cusak a lot, too, but he was just ok.

I'm on the same page. This is pretty much like "Independence Day" with a different coat on. Always saved in a last minute..., and there is this shallow thing..the absolute emptiness of feeling of loss for the billions of people who die. At the end, the "humane" act doesn't help it. And there are laughs in it about a guy who won't save his ex wife..and it supposed to be funny. I don't get it, sorry. Actually kinda p..sed me off. I hope i didn't spoil the movie for others. |

At least I'm not the only one who felt that way!

I got to see the movie with a friend. Yes, it is long. The movie did have some tense scenes too. My only thing, or problem, was how the world was destroyed. I don't want to give away the movie, but if you watch the ending of the movie, it sort of reminds you of another story. Hmmm....

I liked the disaster parts of the movie, but hated the sorry plot and drama of it. I didn't care for any of the characters, I just wanted to see things blow up. |
