When i was younger dating was so different.... All the rules just dont seem to apply anymore? When i was young you had to work at finding a woman. Now days you just go online and there they are.....profiles to reveiw pictures evrything like shopping almost??? So with that said is it right for a woman you have never met to expect you to treat them to a nice night out on the town? Look i'm a gentleman and not cheap but these bad dates are getting expensive man and seems a little unfair. I mean in the old days you knew them when you asked them out now you have no idea what your getting into! just wanted to know what everyone's thoughts where?

I think it is easier online now a days if your looking for that but i also think its worse becuse alot of people lie so much online more than they do IRL so all I say about it is do it if you want to

Why not start with a coffee date? Why does it have to be an expensive night right from the start?

If you're not comfortable spending money on a woman you've never met before, either don't date online or find a woman who is willing to pay for you both or go Dutch. Problem solved.

The couple of first dates I went on (okay, there's only been 2) I drove myself to the meet spot and I also offered to contribute when the check came. But, that's the kind of wonderful person I am. Call 555-56..oh, scratch that.

I just do this online thing to check members out and make friends in the forums. That's all. If a guy is out there for me, he'll show up. But right now, I'm working on "me". Besides, I don't want to tell my parents I met a guy online again. noway My dad will set himself up to go to jail just to protect me. Love my daddy! flowerforyou

I think an honest alternative to a night on the town would be meet for coffe or at the mall. The park is better but it is cold out.
I do agree that this online dating is'nt so great and have not had good luck with it. people are posers and they do lie!!!!

When I talk about my online friends to my tangible friends I may as well be talking about fictional characters from a romance novel. They look through me.

That, I would have to do for my parents or other relatives (except my brother and sister).

Everybody I've ever met from a dating site has turned out to be deranged in one way or another.

Back in the days when I used to meet people through friends, there was a sort of built-in "screening process" in place. My friends would never have fixed me up with an arsonist, for example. Not knowingly, anyway.

The first rule of Date Club, is don't talk about Date Club.

That sure is the way it seems, because the people with the answers are'nt talking. laugh

You know....I actually like meeting women on here. I get to chat with them, and learn about who they are, what they want, and I get to do in the comfort of my own home. Yeah, I haven't met them physically, but I can decide if I want to do that based on how our convos go. I actually have met a few from this site, and never has it been expensive. That isn't until date 7.laugh laugh

When I meet someone new for the first time, it's always for a drink or two at a public place halfway between us, where I always pay half of whatever the bill is.. Makes me feel good and if we never see each other again, no bad feelings
