"BTW your use of sarcasm is getting better, at least this time you used
it properly, and you even learned how to spell my name. That in itself
shows progress and an ability to learn something. lol "

First off Gryphyn. Thank you for your sarcastic patronage.

Second.
"So now the Pagans are perverts?"
I asked that as rhetorical to your statement that Pagans (which actually
Mormons are considered part of.....God was once a man who progressed to
Godhood. Mormons believe we can do the same. Their God has a physical
body of flesh and bone.
There are many gods in heaven. God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are
supposedly separate gods, united only in purpose.
God is having kids. Surrounded by what must be 1,000 or more wives, God
is having little spirit babies which will inhabit the people born on the
earth.
) as being very sexual in nature do to the fact that sex creates life.
So why not celebrate it and not demonize as do many Christian doctrines.
Just look at the past Christians. Why do we have table cloths? The early
centuries even covered the legs of chairs. Why?

I grew up in it in Utah.

It is a Cult and very evil.

Me and my uncle are the only ones that left the state of Utah (we have 5
generations alive, they teach breeding) and are enstranged from them,
which is wonderful.

run, run away from these wolfs in sheeps clothing.

please stay away from them, but at least you want to research.....

google mormon cults etc. youtube has excellent vids that are short,
professionaly made by ex Mormons that prove its a fruad.

pm me if you want links etc.

Sorry, I didnt read any of the replies. I really dont want to get into a
debate with this topic, just putting my 2 cents in.

PS I was president of the decons, teachers, an Eagle Scout and working
my way up the Mormon hiarcy, so I wasnt watching from the sidelines, I
was involved.....

stay away.

Jesus hated ALL religions.

Bear, since you are a recovering Mormon, answer this for me if you will.

What is it with Mormon's and scouting? I have heard there are a lot of
Boy Scouts in Utah.

Mormons in Utah own and run everything.

from little league baseball, basketball, football, boy scouts, girl
scouts, clubs for girls like theater and sewing clubs etc.

Last time I bothered to check Utah had about 1.3 million, 80%+ Mormon,
yes most are "jack Moromons" that do not adhire to the basics, but they
do report to someone (just like the Germans did under Hitler)

In Utah, everyone you NEED is a Mormon. Doctors to landlords to
teachers, coaches and of course Boy Scouts.

Hitler always said get the women under your finger, the kids and father
will follow. And the Mormons perfect this to a T.

I dont want to debate others on what they believe. just giving you my
perspective living it as a young boy.

I would suggest you go to www.youtube.com and putting in mormons and
cults in the search engine.

I know this is unfair for those who believe, but they will never, ever
debate the issues given in these videos.

There belief is so crazy that they will not even look at what the Bible
says and the misgiuded docteran of the Morman church.

please use discernment and pray about joining this group before you do.

Unfortunately I heard that Mormon's are part of the CIA. That's why our
great Moron Candidate Mitt Romey is running for office.

Do we want him to run things here?

We are surely going to have chips implanted in the young to monitor
their thought.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Thanks for the input, BearandWhiskey. I appreciate it.

Don't worry about me going Mormon. I have a hard enough time with them
baptizing the victims of the Holocaust. Ugh. A bunch of survivors had
to ask them to stop it!

Wow, I go on a trip and come back to the Mormons are Pagans? That truly
is a new one on me, If history and definition serve me correctly pagans
have a worship stuucture the Idolizes several Gods. How is it that since
the belief structure of the Mormon faith is God the Father, Jesus the
son, and the Holy Ghost, how could this be considered Pagan? There is
only one God, He is the father. Jesus Christ as it is written in the
BIBLE is his Only Begotten Son, And The Holy Spirit, referred to as the
Holy Ghost in some scripture, is the spirit that dwells within us all
that guides us in decision making/aka Pipeline from God/Communication
with God.

.....God was once a man who progressed to
Godhood. Mormons believe we can do the same. Their God has a physical
body of flesh and bone.
There are many gods in heaven. God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are
supposedly separate gods, united only in purpose.

earth.

Come on Ghost you spouted this before and it Still is NOT true. You
continue to spout false information at each post and still I will
continue to tell you the same thing. Some day maybe you will investigate
something before you make statements that can not be Backed up by any
text in the Mormon religion. You seem to have the mormons confused with
the Islamics which tell those men of their religion that if they life a
spiritual life they will have 75 virgins in the afterlife. Is this true
in their teachings? I am not really sure, it could be someones way of
giving false information to show me how ridiculous the Islamic religions
sre. It is quite possible I have been mislead in this teaching of Islam.

For you to say that the Mormons worship multiple Gods shows what type of
information you have gathered, it is misleading, and it is incorrect.

Bear, you say you were moving up the Hierarchy? Lets take a look at your
statement:
PS I was president of the decons, teachers, an Eagle Scout and working
my way up the Mormon hiarcy, so I wasnt watching from the sidelines, I
was involved.....

stay away.

Funny thing about the Deacons and Teachers is as you put it you were
part of the presidency? When a person is given the leadership of these
groups it is not a stepping stone to bigger and better things down the
road. I know many who were in these positions (including myself) and
never thought it was a stepping stone to higher positions in the church,
as a matter of fact it was one of the reasons I do not truly follow this
faith or any other religious affiliations for that much, however to say
they are evil? Seems to me you were chastised or found out what you
really desired in life was not to be called Mormon. I can't fault you
for that, I have been through the ringer in that regards too, but Evil?

As for running a google on the Mormons? Really now, I am sure I could
run a google on just about any relious beliefs and find 1000's of
opinions that call ANY religion evil or they have false information in
regards to it.

Teach Breeding? HHHhhmmm, is that because they believe in NO
CONTRACEPTIVES? OR BECAUSE they believe in healthy relationships with
your Spouse?

The Mormons are not the only religion that teaches fidelity and healthy
relations with your spouse, why don't you google this one, I am sure you
will find all kinds of information clamiing that polygamy is still
practiced and backed by the church, however anyone who knows about this
subject knows this to be false.

It's been at least 20 plus years since I researched the Mormon faith.
I lived in Missouri at the time and found two factions of the faith.
One was a fairly new entity who divided off from the original due to
some doctrine conflicts, the main one being the doctrine of Jesus.
These were basically very wonderful, welcoming people, whose church and
congregation seemed open and honest. At the time I met some of these
people I had already been researching and going to some open meetings
hosted by ex-Mormons.

I lost track over all these years, of how the new religion was doing,
but after hearing Gryphyn and a couple others here, I decided that there
must in fact be two factions, and at least one faction seems unaware of
what the other is all about.

Like Ghost and Bear, I was aware of the side of Mormonism that they
present, but until this post, I began to question what I had been
taught, told and read, because no one, no 'Mormon' has ever - EVER- in
these posts or in any other forum or email that I've had, never has
there been discussion of the "attaining" of god status, or the fact that
God was actually flesh and blood in the man (MAN) Jesus, and what other
role Jesus played though it was not one of Christ as Christians believe
it to be. They never discuss the various ranks in heaven, and I have
yet to hear any of them discuss the nature of a womans role. A woman
who can never achieve heaven except through a man.

So out of respect to those like Gryphyn, who I believe has many kind
words and good thoughts and different beliefs, I try not to argue these
points. Perhaps he really is not aware of them.

I would like to say thanks, though, to Bear and Ghost for being brave
enough to bring these things to light, at least I now know, that what I
learned many years ago, had some basis in truth.

Peace to all of you.

I am a Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) and have
been a Mormon all my life but have attended other churches as well in
the past. There is NOTHING at all that we are discouraged to discuss
with non-Mormons.

Y'all can say what you want about Mormons but I can tell you this...we
are NOT a cult, we are NOT pagans, and we are NOT evil nor do we distort
the Bible and its teachings.

Sorry if I have offended but I wanted to put in my 2-cents

Kens_Barbie,

Just curious, how much missionary work have you done for the LDS?

Kens_Barbie's photo
Tue 06/19/07 02:13 PM
We do not all do "missionary work", so to speak. I am, however,
currently a cubscout leader in my ward and have held many other callings
as well. Also, I do talk to people about the church when asked (and I
get asked often) so I guess you can consider that missionary work.

Kens_Barbie,

I don't know this from experiance, but this is what I have been told:
When Mormons are prepared to go out and do missionary work, they are
told to not talk about certain subjects. It's possible that you
wouldn't know this becuase you haven't done official missionary work.
But hey, all churches get that right? I'm told by people here that I
shouldn't talk about sin or salvation...not really sure what that
leaves. I guess you can talk about God's love, but I'm supposed to
exclude out God's ultimate act of love, the sacrifice made by Jesus.

Kens_Barbie's photo
Tue 06/19/07 02:25 PM
You can talk about anything to other people. There are no restrictions
on that, at all. As you have said, this is just what you have been
told. Remember, you cannot believe everything people tell you nor can
you believe everything you read...there are tons of misrepresentations
of the church and their teachings out there.

Anyway, enough of this silly debate...y'all have fun playing now!

KensBarbie-Thanks for sharing. I have a lot of beloved co-workers out
in UT that are LDS. If I said anything to offend, it was not
intentional, just ignorant.

Mormons are not at all a CULT! How funny! We do not believe in
polygamy, the Word of Wisdom is not forced upon members but as someone
said before, your body is your temple! Most Mormon boys are involved in
Scouts but wouldnt u rathr ur son b involved in something that teaches
them to b honest, respectful, etc, rather than the alternative? So many
children are being raised in one parent homes & dont have the influences
that will teach them how to be contributing & respectful memebers of our
society. Not because one parent cant give both but children need both
positive influence/examples & the Church backs up the principles &
morals that are taught at home. We believe in a living Prophet upon
this Earth today, we believe that families can be together forever, we
believe "in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, & in doing good to
all men." The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. It
is not the "Mormon Bible" but backs up the Bible & is the history of the
Church. If u want to know more u can also go to www.mormon.org or for
free literature/audio can call 888 537 6777.
