..as this is not about me, I'm just curious, what's it take for you to get over someone you've broken up with? Do you consume a gallon of Ben and Jerry's, throw darts at their picture, burn everything they ever gave you, play 'your' song over and over 'til you can't stand to hear it anymore....what's it take for you to move on...

Depending on how long you were together-the longer the relationship and seriousness of it- the longer it takes. I know I can have no continued contact for quite awhile or I tend to get sucked right back in.

if you fall off the horse get back on... I fell off a horse one time. I wouldn't recommend it. I usually take a couple weeks to be sad and listen to sad songs ( not country ick) and then go get a snowcone an move on. So with all that said an done, go get a snowcone, an it will all be ok when u finish it |

All great answers. For me, it's been a little different each time. I usually do the song thing and then collect up any reminders and toss 'em out. Staying busy and maybe a day outside at the park, hiking, out in the fresh air, always makes me feel alive again.

Yeah me too, I have to have some separation, but it seems like they wanna reach out to you even more sometimes, usually for the booty call! |

Depends on how it ended. Sometimes I didn't want to get over them, so I nursed the wounds and wallowed in my misery until I got tired of it. Now I know it's stupid and futile to allow myself to be miserable over someone who doesn't give 2 chits about me.

I used to give them back everything they gave me then I regret it later. Now I pack everything up and store it away where I can't see it. Then I play songs like "I will survive" and "Heartbreaker"
