Red River Gorge is a little under 2 hr drive from Louisville, I live about 20 mins from Louisville.
I hadn't seen the forrest since I was 12 when I lived here lol |

It was ... you're right... I actually remembered alot of the area from way back then. Although I most likely didn't appreciate it the way I do now though .. no lol

I may actually post up a pic with me in it later today from the gorge if I get a chance. MOst of them are hard to see me due to the lighting in the valley and the distance/ height of the surroundings but maybe I'll brighten one enough to see me lol

If you want to just see the bridges and arches you could search for them as well. Though those are the main sights the tourists lean towards seeing... still very neat to see or walk on. We kinda left the trails most the time and even found an arch thats not listed on any map that we could find.

OH its awesome! One of my all time favorite places to spend time. I missed it alot, next is Mammoth caves like i was saying , and then we're gonna take some tours over at Waverly Assylum and snap off some pics on the 4th floor if they'll let us lol. After that will be Jefferson County Forrest where the civil war ghosts like to hang out

um... There are no natural lights in Waverly working on that particular floor that I know of. They are attempting to restore certain areas and use it as a seasonal hotel. As far as Jefferson county forrest goes... um... civil war ghosts don't care if its light out lol Trust me lol
