I like songs from both artists. I prefer Manson over Papa Roach though.

Let me also say this about Manson.

I will always feel that Antichrist Superstar is one of those albums that is underappreciated. I say this because, at the time it came out, it was a crucial time for rock music. Grunge was growing stale, and all the kids who were angst ridden just got tired of the scene. Enter Manson, who had gained fame on MTV with his video of "Sweet Dreams". He became popular because he was different, didn't mind being different, and while he scared some, teens were listening to him. And so was the music industry. And that led to one of the greatest songs of that decade...The Beautiful People.

Manson gave rock a voice when it was apparent that Pop music was about to take over. He gaves the angst ridden teens a voice in that he sympathized with them. He brought back shock rock, which had been dead since Ozzy in the early 80's. And whether you liked him or agreed with him, he made people listen. Honestly, in maybe not the best way, he brought up issues that adults seemed to ignore. He took a ton of blame when we had the rash of school shootings, and the kids stated they listened to his music. But in reality, all Manson did was point out what he felt was wrong with society. Antichrist Superstar allowed him to do it, and I honestly feel that it kept rock music alive for a bit.
