Hi, thanks for dropping in. I’m thinking about trying a Clarinet and I
have a few questions.

First, I’d just like to try an inexpensive student model to begin with.
I’m looking at the following two on Amazon dot com.

A Glenn Edwards – at $109 (has good reviews)

And a Signature Music – at $139 (no reviews)

I’m just wondering if anyone thinks the extra $30 is worth it for a
starter Clarinet. I’m actually leaning toward the Glenn Edwards because
of the low price and the great reviews.

Or, perhaps you might have an alternative suggestion in this price
range?

Finally, does anyone know of any good web sites for Clarinet lessons, or
music?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Play both.

And pick whichever one has a nicer sound or a nicer feel.

At least that's how I chose my guitar.

i played clarinet for 9 years. i'm a jazz bass major at an art school in
philadelphia. if you have the time, you should try to find a private
teacher to get lessons from. otherwise, try youtube or
expertvillage.com.
