I know you were here.
I smell the scent of ink.
Imprints within the snow
I stare into the river
Only my own reflection glows
Remains so cold and empty
When you are not around
Hide and seek?
Well, I thought you above such games
Ready or not…
Here I come!
Although I search high and low
Even in places I know you’d dare not go
I collapse to the floor
As the reality sinks in
If I bore such wings of silver
I’d fly through the universe
Just to find you once more
If I had a magic marker
To draw the set of stairs
I’d skip steps just to get to you
Yet I have no wings
I have no artistic ability
So as the tears form
My head begins to sulk
I can only scream
Digits clenching into fists
Damn you to Hell…
Why must it ended so soon?
I stare into the empty scrapbook
With the memories we never got to make
One tear falls upon the page
This story ended far too soon
What is the point, after all
If you end up in that one place
I cannot follow
