Topic: Can you do a home date for your first date?

Always wondered about this, is it totally outrageously wrong for your first date to be at your place or theirs? Or must it be "neutral ground." I like to go against the status quo every now and then, just to mix things up, but is that really so wrong? I know why most dates are on "neutral ground," I just wondered if you could successfully challenge this standard.

My first date with my ex was at my place

I cooked him dinner

We relaxed and watched television

It was very comfortable and nice

We both enjoyed it!

Cool! So it can be done, even if it goes against the status quo. I've done it three times myself, and it always worked out. People can sometimes be more comfortable in a home setting, than say a restaurant, bar, or coffee shop. Just make sure there's something fun to do while you're at their place or they're at yours.

I have been known to ask a interesting gentleman over for a home cooked meal, movie and drinks.........what is wrong with being unique? Although, I am really leery of a man asking me to his home, mostly because I know where my weapons are hidden in my home.....so, it really depends on how much I know of this man and how much trust I have in him......
Things that make you go hhhhmmmmmmmm

Can't wait to see that Patriot shrine when you're done. Better start buying some NFL.com merchandise. Definitely gotta have a Tom Brady poster down there.

I would never meet a new friend at either my home or his for the first 4 or 5 dates. My safety is paramount and I have no idea who this person is (even under the best circumstances or period of time).

Of course it can be done!!

If your both comfortable with one another it's great

If a man invited me into his home. Cooked me dinner and watched a movie with me

I would be one girl who would love it!!

Right on! Happy Friday to you! It can be done, but it's not for everyone. And that's okay.

Right on, Pats! I am a huge Broncos fan as you may have guessed, but your idea intrigues me. When it's done, post a few pics. drinks

Would you really trust a stranger that much to bring in your place? You really do not know that person and that is why in the beginning to meet on neutral grounds. flowerforyou
