i totally get that...ppl will start when they are ready...i dont turn my nose on ppl that get plastic instead of bringing their own...but i am glad that i am contributing... |

Walking the dogs, I carry bags for pick up, and if see other garbage put that in the bags also. I recycle cans.. not really because I care about the environment.. I just think since the city makes it so easy, I might as well. AND I vote. *gives the finger* Im so sick of people in an uproar about the freaking environment.. If you have a problem with the way things are.. DO SOMETHING, and shut the hell up about it. Whiners. |

Not always but try to;
Buy things in recycleable containers and turn them in for recyleing. Buy locally grown foodstuffs. (Do I really need a orange from the middle east if they grow in my back yard?) Reduce gas and energy consumption with fewer trips Upgrade the insulation, thermastats, appliances, and vehicals I use to be the most energy efficient. Reduce the amount of waste water and redirect the water that is re-usable to my plants. Use biodegradeable cleaners and less chemical laden cosmetics. Use a door mat, apron, and tea-towel rather than waste so many paper towels, extra laundry, and cleaning chemicals in my home. Use paperless billing, communication, and creative outlets where possible. Pay for things at purchase electroniclly so I don't create a mountain of a paper trail. Use a pharmacist and doctor that uses paperless record keeping. Keep my name and address off junk mail lists. Buy and resell things at thrift shops. Carry a fork, spoon, and covered cup so I don't have to use disposables when I do buy fast food. Follow political issues that promote wise use of resources and makes us less dependent on fossil fuels. Promote inner city high rise living and shared houseing. Plan ahead to avoid health issues, unnecessary life supports,no autopsy, cremation, and request only live plants for my funeral. |
