I watched something about the making of the film. The scene where leatherface is chasing the heroine through the woods was completely real. The actor who played leatherface was basically running blind ten feet behind this girl in the forest in the middle of the night with a chainsaw really going in his hand.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre in so many ways reflects what I love about horror movies.

I love Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I find myself usually trying to tell Leatherface how to cut the body up out loud...you know kind of like this "no! Dammit, where did you learn to use a chainsaw...you have to make the incision where there are no major arteries, can't afford that kind of blood loss...blood is important! It makes a fine sauce if you add in the right spices! Good God man, what are you doing with that hook...right through the heart?! That is the best part!!".

Does anyone else find themselves doing this?

Gawd that's HOT! smitten

House of 1,000 Corpses is still my all time fave horror flick but TCM (old and new) is a close second! Hell, they all are top notch.

Ok, you know how couples use "themes" for halloween costumes? I want so badly to meet a guy that will dress as Otis when they are in the death parade to send the victims to Dr. Satan!!!!! That white face/black cross and red robe is *grr* sexy! I would be Baby Firefly of course!!!

Man, the adrenaline rush I get watching them is unreal!

If or when you see it, remember that this is an "out side of the box" movie. I had to see is couple of times to truly grasp the minutia of references. Now, I know it line for line.

It's homage to classic horror films with a lot of parody. Rob Zombie is genius!

He followed with the Devil's Rejects which is not so much horror but Easy Rider 70's shotgun killing. Devil's starts right where House ends (the next morning) but the tone totally changes! Dynamite!!!

Let me tell you, the image of Sherri Moon Zombie walking across the river with her jeans slipping below her waiste (with a butt shot) while carry a shotgun is so sexy! I can't get that image out of my head.

That was a very nostalgic movie for me, I love Rob Zombie's artistic direction taking movies back to the cult 70's era. I'm in love with all of his horror movies.love love

Wow, there's two of us! And nothing could be said about Cheri Moon that hasn't already... but damn!

On this documentary I watched where they interviewed a sociopath nicknamed the Iceman, responsible for dozens of deaths as a mob hitman, he talked about how annoying chainsaws were for dismemberment, that they sent pieces of flesh and bone segments flying everywhere. He did it totally straight faced too; it was great.

I'm a criminology graduate student and I did one of my term papers on Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski!
