I can sew, but only so so

I used to sew alot when my kids were little.. Had one daughter skinny and tall, the others were chubbys...got burned out on it though after having to do it.. I now cross stitch, embroider and a little needlepoint.. I also make jewelry...

Yes, I sew for a living. Honest lol. I work for a alteration shop, but also sew for the fun of it. I'd post a photo, but don't know how lol

I really enjoy sewing. I've been sewing for about 10 years now. I actually started because of costuming and I still make costumes for myself as well as making clothing for dolls.

I made this costume last year for an event (that is me haha.)

I really enjoy it and it can be really challenging. I mostly do costume sewing but I do sometimes make clothing for myself. I also really enjoy making accessories and things. It's nice to see some other seamsters about!

Thank you for the compliments! Definitely practice. I got a crash course in sewing from a neighbor but most everything else I learned myself but I am still learning all the time.

I have to sew or stitch my heart back together about once every two years,,,Does THAT count???,,lol

I taught myself how to sew, just bought the machine and got at it. I have made dresses, shirts and pants, my favorite leather trench coat to go with my Halloween costume, wall hangings, pillows, blankets, quilts, swim suits, a simple but very beautiful wedding dress for my gf, basically if it could be done I gave it a try. The only thing that I didn't try yet is a stain glass wall hanging. I saw one that I wanted to challenge myself to make. I got into it because I didn't want to pay the ridiculous prices in the stores. I love it all.

That's something I want to learn. It's practical, takes skill, and has some artistry.

Any lonely seamstress in Tampa care to teach?

I love to sew. I find it relaxing and fun.

well i can sew cross stitch knit croche and latch hook. i love doing them and i wish i had some pics but i dont have anything i have made anymore.

I sewed clothing (primarily) when I was younger and then started quilting as a young adult. I even had a business that featured round decorative and art quilts...



But also have "blanket" style quilts and they DO get used, washed, dried, etc.

This is my grandmas card she does teddy bears and artistic stuffed animals and such.



She taught me to sew and I made my first tedybear named TJ when I was 10ish LOL my mom still has the patern for TJ it was a great design actually I eaven made him to where his arms and legs moved. I lost him to a move never came back for our stuff in storrage.

I can cross stitch, sew designs, work a sewing machine, and repair clothing, thank goodness!

I used to cross stitch a lot more then I do now. But I do love making these things called, 'Sock dolls', which are fun!
