I confess! Me too. I went to Hawaii. They have a law there prohibiting people from taking anything from the land, especially chunks of lava. I took TWO!!!!!
Is the Big Island still there? If not, it's all my fault.

In Hawaii they tell you if you bring back the lava rock you will have bad luck scared

never never never take anything from Hawaii

the goddess Pele "She-Who-Shapes-The-Sacred-Land" owns every pebble and grain of sand. She lives inside Halemaumau, the fire pit of Kilauea crater on the island of Hawaii.

if you take anyting she will be pissed and will follow you with bad luck until you return it

The Hawaiian Park Service says they get rocks and pebbles in the mail all the time from people who took it and had such bad luck that they mailed it back to Hawaii

Add me to the list of thieves. I picked up a rock at the Washington National Cemetary. I was 12 and my Grammy told me to. She said to write the date on the rock and it will be a rememberance forever. Then, when we got to the JFK's grave, Rose walked up to my Grammy and gave her a hug. I still have the rock and will always remember that hug.
